One of my goals for my Teton/Yellowstone trip last month was to get some great nightscapes. After hiking all day though they almost didn't happen. Especially with the less than optimal weather. Anyway I'm glad I got this shot.

Stepped out side of my house last weekend to an amazing sunset during a thunderstorm. I grabbed my gear and ran up on a hill (most of the lightning was in the distance), set my camera on a tripod and focused on the storm just as it started raining on me. I quickly set my shutter speed to 1/3 of a second so as to increase my chances of catching lightning and set my intervalometer to take a shot every second.
